That other set was 7-31, 8-2, 8-3, and 8-4. There were a few times where he didn't get to pitch in a game with a save opportunity after only 2 consecutive games, or in one case, 1 (40 pitch BS against the Twins). It looks like Yost uses pitch count a lot to determine whether or not to use Turnbow. The one example from late June and early July happened because Turnbow only threw 2 pitches to get 2 outs in his 6-30 appearance, so it was basically just 2 consecutive days of pitching with a day of rest followed by 2 more games.
