Netflix

Admittedly, I live in Milwaukee and every major film goes through here. I could see living in Wausau and being frustrated with having to wait a month for The Hurt Locker or Moon, for example.

So what does this deal with WB do for streaming WB movies?

The deal gives Netflix the right to stream WB's library. I haven't seen details yet about how soon they start rolling out, but it seems to be the full library.

Overall I think this is a great deal for Netflix. Netflix knows the majority of it's customers don't rush to receive releases the day they come out, so it was a pretty good move overall. It might tick off a small segment of their base, as seen in this thread, but they get a pretty darn good return in exchange for the smaller number of people who will be upset.

I never see movies in the theater so waiting 5 months to see a movie instead of 4 isn't a big deal to me at all.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I couldn't find the details either. I think it is a good deal if it is the full library. I know some may not like it, but I think over time more and more people will simply stream via Netflix.
