Yankees buy Cash

According to Joel Sherman (via mlbtraderumors.com), the Yankees just signed catcher Kevin Cash to a minor league deal. With all the money they've been throwing around, I guess it's fitting they would just buy some Cash.

 

Are they just taunting everybody now?

On another board I go to, a Red Sox fan was complaining that the Yankees only signed him because the Red Sox were interested in him. I have no idea if that's true or not, though.

It was on the crawl on ESPN. At first I was thinking, why is signing a backup catcher worthy of being on the bottom line and then I remember the three key ingredients were there, ESPN-Yankees-Red Sox.
