WHAT A CATCH! Wow, that was awesome. I agree with Phx though, he was showboating too much when he smiled after the catch...

 

Also, I loved the silent treatment that Gamel got. Pretty awesome.

So the Cards' bullpen will request that the Crew quits untucking. This is going to get messy.

I don't understand that catch by Braun...all the Cubs fans I know told me he stinks out there and that he's no Soriano.
I think that most Cub fans don't watch a lot of Brewer games and still have this idea in their head of Braun as a third baseman. To be fair, both Braun and Soriano are pretty mediocre in the OF, diving catch or not.

Fischer should have sent Fielder there with 2 outs and the pitcher coming up. He was around the bag when the centerfielder picked the ball up. That's even debatable to send him with one out and a position player up next. Any slightly errant throw and even a sloth like Prince should score.

Note to Mrs. Gamel...head up to Milwaukee after this series and buy a home. You guys are going to be here for quite some time.
Some alternative advice....wait on buying that home until a couple months from now. Just stay in the Pfister hotel for the next couple of weeks. Because regardless of how well your hubby plays, he's going to be demoted so we can avoid paying him millions for a couple more years. Don't be offended and miffed by it, because it happens to everyone and we are just dealing with the system provided to us.

How fun is it to watch this team right now?

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people
