Take a deep breath everyone...Bill Hall will probably be at 3B in at least 2 games this series against all RHP. I'm hoping the Gamel fix at DH will calm the pitchforks a little.

Let's hope Mat & Bil can shred the Dome one last time.

I was hoping for the Brewers to at least face Liriano in this series. Liriano has been throwing his fastball more than his change up and slider which would bode really well for the Brewers it would have also have given Hall a confidence boost facing Liriano. Like it or not the Brewers need Hall to get out of his slump. McGehee doesn't thrill me at all and he is the only other player on the team who would be taking AB's from Hall with Weeks out.

Might want to replace ASTROS with TWINS in the thread title.

(done - hawing)

I think I need to quit copy/pasting the previous thread title every day! I make a mistake on that daily it seems! Thanks for the catch.

The name Kevin Slowey sends a shiver down my spine.

That said, hopefully we can put some good at bats together against him tonight. It will be interesting to see how McGehee does, as that along with how Gamel does will probably determine how much playing time Hall gets in the near future. I'm a Hall fan, but I honestly hope Gamel has a huge weekend so he sticks around and gets more playing time.

I would love for Gamel to eventually lead off (at least this year until Rickie gets back)... The Brewers have enough power later in the line-up and he runs very well (as evidenced by his 23 triples in 4+ minoe league seasons)... He has also been a good OBP (.379) guy throughout his minor league career... We don't really need him to steal bases because Macha doesn't have us running at all this year!

Potential Line-up:

Gamel

Hardy

Braun

Fielder

Cameron

Hart

Hall/ Cousell/ McGehee

Kendall

I see Fox Sports is cutting costs by mashing the two pre-game shows together. Not really a fan of it since they can't really get as in-depth as they usually do, but I guess I can't blame them for shaking it up a bit.

Here's to seeing another inside-the-park HR from Prince tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

For all my inner hatred of the Vi-queens and Gophers...I can't muster up any angst against the Twinkies. They're kind of a likable team. They've never been in our division (I guess they were in the way early 70's) so I've never considered them a rival. I am a little jealous of the 2 WS Championships, but I was pulling for them at the time. That being said, I'll take at least 2/3 this weekend!!!

These are my favorite weekends of the season. At least the Twins win if we lose, which isn't always a guarantee otherwise.

Would have liked to see Slowey forced to throw a few more pitches, but hopefully we can get to him.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

I am on the opposite end of the spectrum. I was born and raised in Milwaukee until age 8 at which time I moved to Eau Claire, where I was astounded to find the majority of people were Twins fans. I even asked my dad if we still lived in Wisconsin. I couldn't stand it! This experience has caused me to hate the Twins more than I hate the Cubs and Cards combined.

Don't think they needed the A/C blowing out to push that one over the fence...what a bomb.

Hopefully they can jump on Slowey and get back into this. Things looked bleak early last night, too.

Flat out embarrasing. It seems like this happens at least once a year against the Twins. They just make the Brewers look almost impotent sometimes.
