Glee Season 1

Anyone watch this show? They had the mid season finale yesterday and ever since I discovered this show it's been my favorite show on TV. Lot to be learned in the show and extremely entertaining.

I've got a crush on Rachel, even if she can be a bit egocentric at times. I love the show itself, especially how they blend music into the storyline. It's like watching a musical each week, the creativity that goes into the show is astounding.

I watched 15 minutes of it and thought it was absolutely terrible, although I'm probably outside its key demographic. It's on opposite Modern Family, so that made just ignoring it an easy choice for me.

Jane Lynch is beyond fantastic on Glee. Of all the shows I watch regularly, Glee has somehow managed to be at the top of the list. As a 27 year old guy, it felt pretty strange telling people how much they need to be watching it, but everyone I pushed towards it has loved it

I'm a few years older, and the show is definitely a guilty pleasure when I see it on the TiVo. There are some storylines that just don't work for me (ake-fay regnancy-pay), but those are easily offset by moments like Jane Lynch's character declaring - on a local TV news segment - that there should be a holiday on which she would not have to see ugly or fat people.

 

(My only disappointment is that Jane Lynch can't take part in season 2 of 'Party Down' because of her time commitment on Glee.)

I don't follow the show, although my wife does.

 

It bears as much similarity to reality as "Invitation to Love" in Twin Peaks, for those with good memories. And that's really what I think the appeal is. It's over the top with a genuine sense of ...."glee".

I'm 40 and I love Glee, not so much for the music stuff but for the dark comedy. The musical performances just mean I get a couple minutes break from paying attention.

Following Glee was worth it, if even just for the Beyonce Football team dance number.

I love Glee as well... Jane Lynch has been great and the singing insanely good. I wish they would do a little bit better job matching the audio track with their lip-synching sometimes, and also stop making Finn sing high notes, his voice just sounds weird when he's hitting those.
