So, according to the lineup posted the ancient Jim Edmonds who's range is about the size of a teacup is playing CF, while (much) younger and more rangey and faster Jody Gerut is playing RF.

I'd rather have Edmonds in CF than Gerut. He might be faster, but Edmonds takes the right angles and is reasonably solid out there.

Gerut is better. Though given that right now Edmonds can't throw Gerut in RF maybe the correct call.

That's the reason he didn't get the job back when Anderson was hired. They don't really have any other options though at this point. Anderson will probably leave for a national job soon, so hopefully someone better than Coshun is hired at that point.
