Is there any logical explanation for Jim Edmonds batting 6th instead of Corey Hart right now? I am trying really hard to rationalize that, but can't think of a single reason. Aside from that I like the lineup tonight. But it would've been nice to have Hart batting there instead of Edmonds.

This team is making me sick. Whatever happened to those big three-run homeruns we used to get in the past?

It would also help if we could put up runs in games while they're meaningful. I think we have a team that fully subscribes to the Geoff Jenkins approach--pad the numbers when nobody is watching to make you look better than you are.
It's almost like the Brewers were rarely playing for anything meaningful during Jenkins' career.

Kottaras is a TERRIBLE defensive catcher. Lots of passed balls and can't throw a runner out to save his life.

Can Lucroy PLEASE catch tomorrow Kenny? It has been well over a week since we seen him. Is he still on the club?

Jeff Baker. I think he was a waiver claim.
Traded for Al Albuquerque. He's also terrible. .213/.268/.387 so far this year.

I'd guess Lucroy will play tomorrow. I read on the Rangers website that Ron Washington plans on playing Vlady for 2 games in the upcoming series so that could be entertaining.

Splits up the lefties.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

On the bright side, it was nice to see Riske finally get back on the mound and look good. Smith and Hoffman did nice jobs, too. I have a feeling the bullpen will start to improve.

My bright spot, most of the Cubs fans were wrapped up in the Blackhawks, so I didn't hear one person sing that atrocious song after the game. That's a first.

Did Braun look as bad at the plate on TV as he did at the game? His swings just looked miserable.

Hoffman did look good. Might as well get him his 600. Chris seems like a nice guy to have in the bullpen next year. Riske wil be gone. I wonder with the perpetual need for relievers if a competing team could use him.

Mark my words, Wolf will be the third worst signing in Brewers history behind Suppan and Hammonds.
Give him time, at this pace he could easily be in FRONT of Suppan and Hammonds.

Wolf's comments after the game kind of sum things up:

“This is awful,” said Wolf, never one to sugar-coat a poor performance. “It’s one of those times when you feel like you’ll wake up and it’s a bad dream. But it’s not. It’s reality. I have to deal with it and try to get better."

Kind of a good summary of the season, really.
