There is no way you chance the first out at home. I don't see how you can consistently come up with excuses for poor play and bad baseball decisions

and that was one heck of a catch by Hudson

Except that didn't appear to be a called play. If it was, it was a very poorly executed by Casey. It was just bad baseball, all the way around. Somebody had to "win" on the play and the Brewers won the coin toss.

I agree with Bill that the squeeze probably wasn't on there. McGehee was probably expecting the throw to go to 2nd.

Also, can we have robot umps already?

A runner on first and second with a run in, is better. Not sure how some always look at things in such a negative way. Have you never played a game and seen these things happen before? It's like you live in this perfect world and nothing unusual ever happens. Guess they should play station to station ball and never tag up, go first to third, or stretch a hit, seeing there is a chance you could get thrown out. LOL.

The result doesn't excuse how bad of a decision it was. whether it was a safety squeeze of Casey went on his own, that was a bad baseball play.

So the Brewers should cross their fingers and hope for defensive mistakes? No one was arguing that the way the play ended up was a bad thing for the Brewers.

Corey Hart just looks like a guy who would enjoy some epic fireworks on the 4th, so this is only fitting. He's been putting together a pretty solid season.

No but sometimes you play aggresive and things work out and sometimes not. This team plays a bit aggresive and force the other team to make plays. They didn't make a mistake. The first baseman just didn't make a good throw. This isn't a video game. It's not a mistake when a fielder doesn't make a perfect throw.

We really should just try to turn all singles into doubles...I mean, weve got a shot that they will make a bad throw. Really put the pressure on them.

He didn't need a perfect throw...only routine one.

Any kind of decent throw there and Casey is out easily.

It was a bad play that worked out well.......will take it.

I have to ask CO. Did you actually see the play that McGehee scored on? I'm all for being aggressive, but that was akin to Andorra declaring war on France. And Spain. Simultaneously.

Ok seriously, there is a nice medium between running all the time and never running at all. Are we going to stop stealing 2nd base because a perfect throw gets the runner out at least 1/2 of the time?

there are times to be aggressive and there are times not to be. A guy on 3rd with 0 outs is not a good time to be aggressive with a safety squeeze or try to make it home on your own
