Let's not forget that Suppan actually was a pretty good pitcher for most of his career. Even if Fiers doesn't seem to throw electric stuff, he's getting strikeouts at a much higher rate than Suppan ever did. Deception and pace can be difficult to see as a fan, perhaps he really is harder to hit than it looks. Only time will tell but it has been fun to follow him so far.
