LA will chase just about every free agent starter there is, and they already have six SPs under contract for next year, so someone will probably be dealt.

 

Under contract...Kershaw, Billingsley, Beckett, Capuano, Lilly, and Harang. Obviously, Kershaw cannot be had...which guy do you want?

billingsley would be the only one i'd be interested in. his elbow problem scares me though. his contract is very reasonable- 11m in 2013/12m 2014/ 14m option for 2015. he'll only be 30 when that contract is done.

The only 3 pitchers I see the Dodgers trading are the 3 that wouldn't improve our rotation at all. I would be interested in Beckett but trading Beckett when Billingsly is hurt doesn't make sense for em. They want a 3rd top of the rotation starter to team with Kershaw and Beckett.

There's a reason the Dodgers are after FA. The guys behind the top couple aren't very good or are injury risks. Now if Lilly looked good in spring and the Dodgers paid a good chunk of his salary, that might be an option.
