Thanks for posting the Top 100 articles - very interesting read. The odds are better for college players to make the majors (on average 40-50% by position, compared to ~30% for HS), and most likely to be an impact player is college 3B (21% - but many moved to 1B or OF), followed by college 1B (18%) and then HS LHP (15%) and college RHP (15%). Excluding #1/#2 overall picks A-Rod, Chipper Jones, and the Upton brothers, HS shortstops aren't looking good (8%).

 

I wish they would break down the success rates by Top 10 pick, 11-20, 21-end of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, to get a better idea of the value of picks in those ranges.
