We need to score some more runs here. A one run lead with our bullpen doesn't leave me feeling confident. This is a big game, and we need to hold on.

 

And the prospects of calling up KRod makes me feel uneasy. As in "warning, danger, Will Robinson".

Ryan Braun is just good at baseball. Wow.

 

I get some people will always have doubts about him regarding the steroids issue (until the facts actually come out). But I don't get how people can watch him play, and infer that he needs them to be the superstar he is. He's got one of the sweetest swings I've ever seen from a right handed hitter. He's got a great eye, and incredible bat speed.

 

I've watched baseball a long time. Brauny's one of the great ones, and I'd bet everything I have that his success is due to hard work and natural ability, and not some chemical assistance.

agreed. braun's stats have always been similar. he's never had a dramatic spike in the number of home runs. braun's always been legit.

It's ok, Doc, I'm trying to remain positive. I'm the happiest, most positive guy you'll ever meet. But there's something about Ron Roenicke that makes my colon clench. Leaving a clearly struggling Rickie Weeks in without a day off, putting a guy with a 9 + ERA in with a one run lead in the eighth....these are things that will test any man's patience.
