Japanese Aoki Bobbles

Anyone have information on these bobbles? If anyone on this site has them ( ) I'd be interested in a MAJOR trade to acquire them...

If this truly is a Japanese exclusive then whey is none of the writing on the box in Japanese?

Where did you find pics of these? If I remember correctly there was another Japanese player from the Brewers that had a bobble in the early 2000's. Can't remember who, but that one is pretty rare, and it wasn't a star....

I've never tried to find one due to it not being an SGA, but I'd be interested in one if anyone has an extra they'd be willing to trade.

I can't shed much light on the Aoki bobbles. They're from Japan, but whether an SGA or a Magniflex promotional item I do not know.

I guess I shoulda put my post in blue. I remember hearing about that bobble, but I don't think I've seen it on eBay in a really long time. I recall seeing it a few times about 8-10 years ago on eBay, but I only collected SGAs so I didn't get it. I wanna say it was around 100 bucks back then, too.

It's safe to say they're affiliated with the team in some way, as the manufacturer wouldn't have been able to use the marks and team logos without the Brewers signing off.

Yes, but they are a worldwide company. I'm guessing it's their Japanese division that put these out.

Maybe if Madgrad could give us an idea of how he acquired them without giving away his secret, some of the mystery could be solved...

Just a side note, I walked into one of my customers in the Kenosha are last week and they had a Japanese McGhee used signed jersey on display in the lobby. Connection, no clue. However I found it interesting.
