That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Counsel needs to drop the hammer on Gomez after this garbage. Bench him for the rest of the road trip. Guys need to know they can't continually make bonehead plays over and over without consequence.

Gomez has to be one of the fastest terrible base runners of all-time. Above average speed with well below average base running instincts.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Carlos Gomez, you brainless, uncoachable idiot. I just can't take it anymore...

I know, and that its frustrating. Wishful thinking.

One key trait of any successful manager in sports or business is accountability. If you don't have accountability you have nothing. Mark A, as a successful business man, should know better than anyone.

Gomez on the bases reminds me of an excited puppy that cant control itself that freaks out and starts pissing all over the place.

That can be kinda cute.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Brewers only have 1 run.

Why do people insist on benching Gomez...sounds like something the Twins probably did with him and we know how he did there. There is no point to benching him and no point to making him less aggressive. This is Gomez, you aren't going to change it with a day off.

I know he's making $10 mil but I'm starting to feel bad for Aramis. This can't be how he saw his last year going. He's absolutely brutal at the plate now. Just not sure how it can be justified that he continues to start each day.

I just turned the game on and opened this thread. Can someone tell me what Gomez did?

Ball hit into RF slightly towards center and Gomez, who was on 1st, rounded 2nd too far. Throw going to 3B was cut off and cut off man perfectly positioned to tag him before he could scamper back to 2nd.

All the hate seems be a bit of an overreaction. I never saw an angle that showed what the human windmill was doing. Entirely possible Sedar waved him over but tried to send him back. Don't know for sure though.

Thanks. Well, Gomez just knocked in two runs so I think his gaffe is forgiven.

Gomez has to be a frustrating player to manage. You just have to accept the bad that goes along with the great. Minnesota couldn't do that and that's why he's succeeded as a Brewer.

I wonder if they'd just release him and let him start his retirement early. Its not like they are playing for anything this year.

I think it is frustrating only if you want to be frustrated. A good manager will just write down the out on his scorecard and move on. A lot of his stellar plays come with his aggressiveness. You are going to run into some outs, but in my opinion it is well worth it. No one comes out when he makes a stellar aggresive play...only when he makes a bad one.

I think the Brewers just may do whatever he wants them to do. They usually are a class organization and I doubt they'd just release him if he wanted to finish it out.

I think Ramirez can still have some nice stretches. I'd rather watch Ramirez than Hector Gomez to be honest. A little name recognition is nice to have on a garbage team. Most importantly it isn't like we have anyone to try out at the hot corner.

Ramirez will be starting all year if he wants and that is perfectly fine with me.

That is enough, take him out, put anyone in, anyone except Broxton.

I hate this crap!
