2015 Rule 5 Protection & The 40-Man Roster

So we did not Lose Wang afterall which is good for the crew.

Wei Chung Wang? He was already selected in the Rule 5...so I think the understanding was that he couldn't be then.

Wang was certainly available to be plucked today...

Of course he was available. Not being on the 40-man roster with his years in pro-ball makes him available. Makes me a little baffled about his 2nd half. Was he not as good as the stats seemed? Not often a lefty throwing 94-96 with MLB experience gets overlooked. Scouts must not like his stuff

Well, Reymin Guduan wasn't picked either, though, and I don't think there are many scouts discounting his stuff. Pretty telling that Stearns didn't elect to pick up him or Teoscar Hernandez.

Were his stats that impressive? His k rate actually went down in the second half. He struck out less than 6 k/9. Basically balls stopped leaving the park which is probably as much a product of a humid Florida summer environment than anything.

I meant the innings/start going up and the ERA and WHIP declining.
