Farm Director Reid Nichols Won't Be Back

Brewers reorganization underway: Farm director Reid Nichols let go. Asst. GM Gord Ash and minor league business operations director Scott Martens offered new jobs in organization.

We don't root openly for people losing their jobs, but would love to hear the reactions of various players in the organization on Nichols' departure (we won't, though). He had a long run -- a productive run? That can be debated.

I was never really a fan. Can't say exactly why other than he always just rubbed me the wrong way.

this fire/re-hire was a litmus test for the new regime of Stearns for me and in my eyes it passed with flying colors....this was a while in coming - did a great deal of the little things wrong

Yeah, there were just so many things that made you scratch your head and made you wonder if they had any plan at all.

Did the Brewers develop one LH pitcher who made any impact for the Brewers other than arguably Manny Parra, who was an underachiever, in all the time Nichols was running player development?

Mitch Stetter had a pretty good run circa 2008-2009...just reaching for anything here.
