Alex Anthopoulos Leaves Blue Jays

 

I guess I wasn't paying any attention since they hired Mark Shapiro as Alex Anthopoulos has opted out as GM. I guess since Mark was brought on there has been tension. Also says Shapiro wasn't satisfied with the way Alex was running things and you know the whole lets trade the farm away strategy.

 

Since there are no current GM openings, AA is just a free agent I guess

I think that's surprising. He's generally regarded as having done a very good job---or so I' thought.

Which one Maddux or AA?

 

From what I read Maddux's contract was up and he wanted to look around before renewing with Texas and I guess Texas wasn't interested in that. So I assume Mike will land somewhere fairly quickly.

Maddux. I feel like he's one of the better pitching coaches in baseball, if you believe those guys really make a difference
