Great he gets on base more .362OB just to clog the basepath in front of McCutchen. When he does get on base over 77% of the time he's clogging 1b on potential XBH for McCutchen. Polanco had a .320OB last season his 1st full year. So for .04OB you bat him 5/6 vs leadoff? I'd think the runs differential for Jaso at leadoff over Polanco at 5/6 would amount to a negative due to the lesser ABs Polanco sees, SBs he'd be able to get over Jaso, but scoring from 1b or 2b on hits Jaso wouldn't.

I can't believe no one touched this post from earlier. I didn't realize Dusty Baker posted here.

My fingers were on the keyboard, but I exhaled and moved on.

The Brewers now have 10 walks, in this game... Crazy.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

And suddenly Braun is hitting .297 on they year. Get on the phones Stearns.

Braun and Lucroy are going nowhere lol. This team is going to be further ahead of schedule than this forum thinks it will be.

Last 10 walk 9 inning Brewers game was in 2014, before that 2009 in a 2-3 loss

That 2014 game was Kyle Lohse's best career start by game score, 89. He threw a 2 hit, 0 BB, 6 K shutout.

Awesome, lets split the weekend for a .500 roadtrip

Man, going 6-6 against SF, Houston, St. Louis, and Pitt would be quite the overachievement for this bunch of rapscallions.

That was a nice game. Nelson and Anderson sure have been fun to watch so far this year. I'm turning into a Thornburg fan too. Broxton needs to sit, or go to AAA.

It's been so long since I've had low expectations for the brewers it's actually kind of refreshing. And now that they're (so far) exceeding them is quite nice.

Already forget about Yovani Gallardo?

Nelson has had two good starts, but no need to jump the gun here.

Gallardo was painful to watch. Im not just saying Nelson is a good pitcher, I said he is enjoyable to watch. Gallardo was the king of the 20 pitch 1-2-3 inning and that just isnt fun to watch on TV.

Yovani just couldn't punch a guy out. I was one who was getting quite frustrated at the high pitch counts going in to the fifth.

Jimmy getting screwed by a poor decision/horrible throw. All three runs are marked as earned. Not right.

I believe the scoring will go three earned runs charged to Nelson and the "Team", one earned run for Blazek but unearned to the "Team". Team ER do not have to add up to the sum of the individuals.

Yet he struck out over 200 batters, 4 years in a row.

Not sure about pinch running, but the answer is "Hurricane" Herb Washington, 31 SB 0 H

I believe he has his own baseball card, position listed as "Des. Runner". Think Topps 1974.

This card says pinch runner.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

IIRC, would get to two strikes, but ended up with a lot of full counts.

I remember Gallardo as a guy who would get two quick outs and then walk two batters and then give up a hit and then another walk and escape only giving up one run but throwing about 27 pitches in an inning where it looked like he would have 8-10.

Those uniforms were the bomb.

MrTPlush, you say some of the weirdest things! Some rather incomprehensible things in this game thread. It add some comic value

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.
