That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

That Suppan comparison when Nelson was drafted could not be more spot on.

Well, it's a lot closer than the Madison Bumgarner comparison someone made a couple months ago.

I will bet we end up seeing a position player pitch in this game.

May as well have Jake Elmore throw 7 innings tonight, since he's on borrowed time anyway.

Cannot even put Jon Lester away.

I can guarantee without looking it up that Jimmy Nelson leads MLB in walks issued to opposing pitchers.

Well, I watched the first couple of batters in the bottom of the first at home. Then I drove to the hardware store, talked to the guys there, bought something, and came back home. The inning ended as I shut off the car in my garage.

So we managed to get the bases loaded in the 1st and just let Nelson hit for himself only to probably pull him with 1 out here in the 2nd. Cool beans.

I know I'm in the minority here but I am a lot more interested in the race to the number two draft pick than I am worrying about who is hitting clean up with Braun and Luc gone.

Oh and Nelson needs a DL stint or at least a turn missed to work on his command. The wheels are coming off.
