Monte Harrison

Since this is his 3rd season in Appleton, how long before they move him up? I know that injuries have derailed his advancement...

 

He seems to have turned a corner, which is great to see. Still striking out a lot (about 26%) but looks a lot more patient and comfortable at the plate in general.

200 ABs as long as they keep going well. I guess if he keeps mashing like he has of late(4 HRs .360 AVG. last 10 games) it could come sooner.

While I could see the club moving Monte, I also wouldn't be surprised if they just let him ride out the year - or most of it - in Wisconsin. Let him have some extended success. The stability might be a really good thing for him.

I tend to think they will let him have some success at low A but at some point they will have to make a decision on him. After the 2018 season Harrison along with a bunch of other guys like Lara, Gatewood, Stokes, Diaz, Ponce, Kirby, Medeiros,Yamamoto etc. will be eligible for the rule 5 draft so I would like management to have as much information as possible on these players in order to make an informed decision and not keep on losing a bunch of guys with upside to the rule 5 draft.

Barring something else opening up a spot for him, there is usually a wave of promotions / releases following the June draft. If he is still doing well, I would expect him to get a promotion then.
