Just get it over on 3-2 to the leadoff guy, Chase. If you can't get your curveball over for a strike with 3 balls, don't throw it.

Eyes are getting heavy. Wish I knew how this one was gonna end.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

First game back on the road and rain again? Game is going to go late enough as it is, if they get delayed, I'm out.

Petco park has only had 5 rain delays in its history since 2004

We have to lead the league in hits allowed to opposing pitchers. Maybe Chase can make history tonight and give up a cycle to a pitcher.

This ascension doctor gets to know everything about you. You pass on the donuts? Check. You enjoy kick boxing and scarve shopping. Check. No tests necessary, see you next year.

Of course Sogard is going to hit 2nd. He's a scrub but he reminds Counsell of himself. Knew when he got called up he was going to play way too much.

Looks like Jimmy Ryan is the only player to hit for the cycle and pitch in the same game, which he did in relief on July 28 1888 for the stupid Cubs. He also was known for punching reporters which is pretty funny

Our rotation is really dreadful. Davies and Nelson are 3s if absolutely everything breaks right for them. Anderson's worse. Peralta's substantially worse than that. Garza's having a nice little stretch.

I really hope at least two of our young arms work out.

Seems like we've been saying that since 1986.

Franklin looked like a little league right fielder on that. He kept running the wrong way until the ball was over his head, only then did he realize what happened

Franklin has no clue in left field.

It takes our attention away from another piss rocket given up by Anderson though
