I've never really seen a Brewers team struggle so much to hit pitches out over the plate. Not even good pitches, we consistently see swings and misses on center cut fastballs and hanging breaking balls, what used to be called mistake pitches. It doesn't seem to be as much of a chasing problem as most are drawing walks, they just can't hit.

 

 

It’s hard to hit when your bat isn’t in the hitting zone for very long because you are taking huge uppercuts

 

Narvaez has one of the worst I've ever seen. It amazes me that he's ever even made contact.

 

His 2019 swings looks so much better. I just watched some highlights and he goes to left field and makes solid contact with a swing that's in the zone longer.

That makes a lot of sense. I just can't imagine a swing like he has now ever really making consistent contact.
