Spot on. Too many guys who are simply unwilling and/or unable to adjust their approach.

Ok, but so what? Take Jackie Bradley Jr: He's been an all-star, world series champion, he's hit over 100 homers in the big leagues, played over 900 games in the majors and has made 44 million dollars while doing it.

Why would he do anything but "dance with the one that brought him" as opposed to listening to the advice of a coach who might not be there next year, and doesn't hand out major league jobs?

Up and down the lineup, these guys have all played 1000s of games and I would bet every single one believes they are where they are at because how they've played the game since they were kids, and they're not going to jeopardize their meal ticket now by taking the advice of an MLB coach.

At least I get either a miracle comeback or a fantasy save as consolation.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Time for Carpenter with his .123 average to put the cherry on top of a frustrating day.

Or not ...

(Man, I get that the offense has been bad today, but seems like there's been a little more predicted doom than normal even.)

Well what is the point of any coach then? Why don't they just have Stearns set the lineup then let the players play? I'm not sure this holds up

They were facing an ace with the roof open and wind blowing in. Not exactly the kind of day that is going turn around the offense.

I don’t get the approach complaints...Vogelbach is an example of a

guy who has a really great approach at the plate but he should probably be trying to hit more home runs and quit trying to poke the ball to LF which never works.

This game is a good example of why baseball games are hard to attend in person. A game that’s 1-0 going into the 9th inning with very little action, and it’s going to take 3 1/2 hours.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Tying run comes to the plate. COME ON BLIND SQUIRRELS!!!! Find that Nut...

JBJ could fall and land in a pile of nuts and he still wouldn't find one.

Don't worry guys, Bradley Jr. will rebound in his second year like Garcia has. You just have to wait 162 games instead of 60 games this time.

Your starting pitchers averaged more than 6 innings and less than 1 run allowed, your pen pitched well and you still managed to lose the series.

Great job, Brewers.

In what world should Bradley being starting and Taylor on the bench?? Counsell is going to lose the clubhouse at some point.

Obviously we want the lefty bat that is OPSing less than .500 against RHP, duh.

Don't worry, while the Brewers lost this series they'll make it up in volume...

I like Taylor but he is 5 for his last 38, he had a hot start and has cooled off significantly.

They pissed away 14M and now likely 22M to get JBJ here so they are going to try their damndest to get their money's worth. Terrible signing.

Counsell and Stearns are going to lose the fanbase with too many more performances like this. Pitching gives up 1 run and it feels like the game is over.

At the end of the day sports is entertainment. Were you entertained today?? That's really what it comes down to. People have been locked up and they are going to come to the park out of a sense of normal life being back but this is not entertaining in any way.

Will give them until the lineup is healthy, and the offense doesn't have to be world-beaters. They need to be like a bottom-third offense instead of a bottom-sixth one. That's it.

But this team is about the least amount of fun I've had rooting for a comtender. So many holes up and down the lineup.

They are a bottom third team.

I have no excitement towards going to any games due to this pathetic offense. I was actually happy that the money for our season tickets was being reimbursed so we didn’t have to go for now. Now that the stadium is going back to 100% capacity on June 25 we’ll actually start getting scheduled tickets again. Hopefully the offense shows up by then...

Yes, I'm very bored 'watching' these games. since they're close games due to always being low scoring you pay attention but almost nothing happens. Baseball has a problem on their hands with all this. Glad we have the technology to do other stuff to be entertained with this kind of on in the background just to know what happens, but there's no need to pay close attention.

When I’m at home I can do other things, like read a book, do a crossword, surf the web, etc, while I have the game on as background. But at the game there aren’t other diversions, and a game like today would not have been very entertaining.

We have tickets for Sunday, but I don’t have high expectations for excitement.

If I had seen your post I could have saved mine and just given it a +1.
