....in the parking lot I saw a vehicle (SUV I think) with glamor plates that read: SOFBALL. Wow. Made me think of that article we had on the site last year about the total softball geek.

 

Anyhow, the place was deserted and getting any help was next to impossible so I went to Sports Authority on BLuemound Rd. in Brookfield. They have a nice sale going on for bats. I hope nobody has a DeMarini B52 34" 26oz bat because I just got one.

 

Anyone wanna share wich bat(s) they have so we don't get the exact same thing?

For bats, I like Burghardt's, if for no other reason than you can test them out for free at their batting cages.

 

My bat is a green Easton somethingorother, from Dunhams (yea, contradicting myself).

I got it for me but the team is more than free to use it. Hopefully, it'll get us some hits.

I have a Mizuno G2 Crush 100% composite. How are the umpires with checking illegals?

Most of the umps will check and if you have an illegal bat that is called -before- the game starts, you can put it away. If you try to use it in the game you will be ejected with one minute to leave the field or we as a team forfeit. You then get suspended for up to three games and I being your captain, get suspended for one. I won't like that at all so if anyone knowingly uses an illegal bat and gets busted I will kick you off the team not only for the season, but you will be banned from the team permanently. This is a harsh rule, but I don't want to deal with suspensions, office of rec. dept. visits, and reinstatement hearings so that's the rule.

 

It appears is if the Mizuno G2 Crush is in fact not a legal bat if I am understanding the banned bats list correctly.

Just to be clear, I was not yelling at anyone for the bat question. I think it was be seen as that, but I was not yelling.

Let's just not use banned bats. The Rec Dept made this very clear last night at the meeting. They will not tolerate banned bats or poor behavior.

Hey don't worry, I had no intentions of bringing it to the games at all. I know South Milwaukee has had a prior problem with illegals and really has no intentions of trying to monitor and stop it. I'm cool with any bat.

What about wood bats? I think my number will look better to Melvin and company if they saw I was using a wood bat when I hit .290 in the minor softball leagues.
