The  "McCutchen wasn't in the budget" comment by Mark A was a bit of an eye roller IMO. 

They do this every time they sign a couple guys and run a high payroll. Act like they're bleeding and running the team at a loss. Mark A has plenty of money in his budget to give out a 1 year/8.5M dollar deal to Andrew McCutchen. 

Do I believe that Mark A spends competitively relative to his peers in an effort to win? Yes. Do I believe that Mark A operates a highly profitable business here? Also yes.

Man, this team is unwatchable trash right now. 

Imagine having a once in a lifetime, championship contending pitching staff, and your cheap ass owner adds a 35 year old Cutch who he then talks about how he had to stretch his budget to make happen as like a favor to the fans.

What a poverty franchise.
