Cam Devanney decided to join the outburst, smacking his second homer of the season. 9-4 Biloxi in the 6th inning.

Wisconsin was unable to knock in the tying run in the 7th inning, as Carlos D. Rodriguez was caught looking and Antonio Pinero grounded into a 1-2-3 double play. But don't worry, Kent Hasler is still mowing down the opposition, striking out all 6 hitters he's faced. Wisconsin trails 8-7 going into the 8th inning.

Wisconsin's down to its final 3 outs, as it's 8-7 going into the 9th inning. Peters, Miller, Clarke and Rodriguez need to turn the tables in this one.

IF Alberis Ferrer has committed his 12th error of the season to allow the leadoff Woodpecker to reach base in the 6th inning. Fayetteville then takes the lead on a balk and a single. Carolina trails 2-1.

Wisconsin's win streak has been snapped, unfortunately. Hopefully today's reversal-of-fortune day, which would mean Biloxi will hold on (leading 9-4) and Carolina will pull their game out (down 2-1 for now).

Jesus Chirinos has notched his 2nd home run of the season, a solo shot to tie the game 2-2 in the top of the 7th inning in Fayetteville. Go Mudcats!

Shoot. Fayetteville doubled in a run off of LHP Jakob Brustoski, who'd started the inning in promising fashion with 2 strikeouts. It's tied up again at 3-3, heading to the 9th inning. Chirinos, Vargas, Sibrian and Ferrer are due up.

Timber Rattler Manager Joe Ayrault has been ejected in the 3rd inning in Quad Cities. I'm guessing he did not enjoy the strike zone which Max Lazar has been forced to work with.

Unfortunately, another 2-run blast has pushed the River Bandits' lead to 4-1.

Actually, the 3rd inning ejection stemmed from a close pick-off play which didn't go Wisconsin's way.

RHP Michele Vassalotti has come in to pitch the bottom of the 9th inning in Fayetteville, hoping to extend the game to extras.

Vassalotti did his job (2 Ks, single, fly out), so they're headed to the 10th inning. Carolina has Raabe, Leones, Quero and Perez due up.

Raabe walked and Herbert Perez came through with a 2-out, 2-run single to right field to give the Mudcats a 5-3 lead. It was Perez’ first hit of the night, after a walk and 3 Ks.

Vassalotti then made it entertaining in the bottom half, hitting two batters and throwing two wild pitches to allow Manfred’s ghost to score (5-4) and put the tying run on 3rd base and potential winning run aboard. Tired of playing with his food, Michele then struck out the final batter on 3 pitches.

And that’s a 2-win, 2-loss night for our minor league affiliates.
