Padres are reeling, particularly on offense. So long as we hit some and decide to actually play defense, we have the opportunity for.a very good series. Also looking forward to what hopefully is the return of Hunter Renfroe for tomorrow night's game and a loss of playing time for Cain.

Seems CC is banking on Houser to be a groundball machine tonight.  Upgrade the defense a bit, expect nothing to get hit to left.

3 lefties and Musgrove going for the Padres.

if we are going to win the series it’s likely going to be in low scoring games.

Would feel better if Adames and Renfroe were back.

Possible  in a few days but might not be in this series at all.

Clevinger starting on Sunday, so 2/4 games against lefties. Padres are struggling to score runs themselves, which gives us a good chance.

Hiura starting against LHP AGAIN, and he struke out 3 times yesterday. I'm done with CC and his incompetent decisions, I've had enough already.

Had enough already of the team whose incompetent manager has led them to the 5th most wins in MLB while dealing with injuries to Urias, Adames, Renfroe, Peralta & Woodruff.

Tough crowd.

We just split 4 games with the Cubbies, if you're happy with that, shame on you.

Could be worse could have been swept by the Pirates at home!  Or go 1-5 versus the Pirates.

TT finally in the four spot but Yelich still in the three.

I don't like Yelich in the three whole either, but with Adames and Renfroe out, who do you put there???

Who should start instead? The other options aren't exactly good against lefties either. I think now it's a great time to give Hiura all the starts they can against lefties and righties. Gotta know what you have. And yes I know about his reverse splits, but he just hasn't had enough AB one way or another to know exactly how pronounced(or real) they will be in the long run.

I mean it’s not like we’ve been dealing with a ton of injuries or anything. And yet, the manager you’re saying you're done with has us in first place in the division with a better than 90% chance to make our franchise record fifth consecutive postseason appearance.

Anyone hitting better than Yelich, which is pretty much everyone except Cain and McCutcheon.

Brosseau?

Speaking of platoons, does anyone have the stat on what percentage of Brewer at bats in a given season, do you Brewera have against lhp vs rhp?  Thanks in advance

Starting to wonder if McCutchen is washed up along with Cain and Yelich ... hmmm ...

I believe CC continues to put him on the lineup in hopes he breaks his consecutive at bat hitless streak.
