One criticism of Renfroe so far this season is that, even when he was hot, he has not been good with runners on base.

Only 19 total RBI while hitting 9 HR might be a clue.

With runners on he is hitting .194 and with RISP .172. Need more than that from a middle of the lineup hitter.

He's imploded, 77 pitches in the top of the 3rd

Your idea of the word "imploded" and mine must be substantially different. Yes, pitch count is up, but he's given up a single run and two hits through 4 innings.  "Effectively wild" may be a better way to describe his outing so far.

Well, got out of a leadoff triple.

This appeared before I heard the final out.  My MLB audio is a good bit behind reality and even this board.

This is what "an extremely good pitcher struggling with command on any particular day" often looks like. His stuff is still filthy, he just doesn't know where it's going this afternoon.

This AB accounted for nearly 10% of Elfin's pitch count.

13.5%

Valiant effort from Burnes today but not the result the Brewers needed from him.

We need a shutout from him and every other starter

Burnes battled………..tough being a Brewer fan right now…..nothing easy……can’t get that big hit to get any breathing room what so ever.

Ok, I''ll agree with that. Had a decent showing, 1 run, 8 SO.

What's all that paper-looking debris floating around the field. I've got my sound off at work.

What’s with the starting pitching? They had a fantastic April and then injuries and a complete lack of command.

At least the Brewers were in the game for 2 1/2 hours today.
