Respectful Posting Reminder

Often frustration with how the team is playing on the field spills over into our posting online and how we deal with each other.  This forum exists to be "something different" from all the unmanaged forums available.  

Unlike those unmanaged forums, we are a community and do not allow personal attacks.  We will take appropriate action when we see it occurring. Our goal is to promote discussion and debate on ideas.

Acceptable debate example:

• I really don't agree with your idea that <insert thought> because I feel we should <insert opinion>.
  • We aren't here to agree with each other.  Debate of ideas is healthy.
• I don't like your idea and think we should...
  • You don't have to like everyone's thoughts. Just be respectful in disagreeing.

Unacceptable debate examples:

• You are really an idiot.
  • Specific attacks directed at a person are clearly prohibited.
• Everyone that doesn't see my view is stupid.
  • General attacks are not any better.
• Your idea is dumb.
  • Directed at the "idea", but still a bit more about name calling and having no counter argument. 

Please remember that debate is about the ideas and not the people.
