Is he going to sit on the bench? I think he continues to start and Anderson goes back to 3B.

Not that he'll be out there every day like he is now, but that's what I anticipate. We're still about run prevention and the way folks are rotating around like a volleyball team isn't helping that. Once they get a little healthier hopefully that will change.

My oversimplification is that like Ned Yost used to say, starting pitching is your momentum. Failed ABs aside, the starts in the last 4-5 games have been subpar with tonite maybe being the worst. Offensive shortcomings? Sure. All the more reason you can't keep playing from behind.

Also, you were building some momentum by coming back, you get a leadoff double in the 8th, and Adames promptly turns in a horrible AB. Things just seemed to turn southward from that point on.

The last six outs were pretty much uncompetitive at bats.

The things they were doing well early in the season like taking balls the other way and putting balls in play have largely dried up.

2nd and 3rd nobody out Yelich grounder that scores 1 run but Wiemer thrown out at 3b. Winker flies out. Adames walks. Tellez grounds out. 2b nobody out 3-5 in order proceed to strike out ballgame.  That's 0-6 risp for the batters who are supposed to I dunno hit?  The way the season has gone at least Wiemer didn't get hurt on his slide to 3rd for force out.

Suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked. Terrible ABs.

I actually still see a semblance of guys trying to go oppo. The putting the ball in play part, totally agree.

Without looking at the numbers, it also seems like they aren't walking as much as earlier, too.
