Fits the bill for the Brewers needs: good overall hitter, hits lefties better than righties, on an expiring contract and not a player who will cost them top tier talent in return.

Something tells me they may have shifted their wish list to 1B/DH types. But there aren't a lot of those available, so Pham is certainly worth looking into if the price is right.

Pham could rotate with Yelich at DH and LF.  He wouldn't preclude them from Candelario either.

Pham injured his groin on Sunday. Nothing bad on the MRI, but he said he had something similar a few years ago and it took him a couple of weeks to recover. We shall see. Those kinds of injuries can linger.

Pham I think is a nice fit. I assume he can play RF, right now I feel like we are rotating Perkins/Tapia over there so very likely upgrade if the groin injury isn't too concerning. A slightly better fit would be a CF that can hit so we can move Wiemer to rf and have a better defense, but this is fine especially at our ballpark.

I agree, but I think Wiemer moving to RF is something we won't see until '24.
