Why does this site hate dark mode?

Another annoying issue is when someone copies over formatting from a website and you get a completely unreadable post with white background highlighting.

I plan to address this more comprehensively during the off-season. There are a ton of moving parts that may not be obvious that make implementing some of the smaller aspects of dark mode exceedingly frustrating.

Yeah I get that hopefully it won't take too long in the off season but it could be that you are working for Stearns and the Mets and you are secretly trying to use the dark mode as an excuse while you create a Mets site that has all the dark mode features working!

@nate82, Brock can attest that I've tried to identify various dark mode issues for him and he has made improvements along the way. I often go into the articles to fix dark-mode formatting also (and remind the authors).  They have gotten better as I see fewer of them now.

But @Brock Beauchamp, here is another issue for dark mode.  The pop-up notifications are not readable either:
