Victor Estevez will not return to the Brewers coaching ranks in 2026.  He has accepted a position in the Washington Nationals organization after managing the Timber Rattlers the past two seasons.  He joined the Milwaukee organization as an infield coach in the DSL for the 2013 campaign.

Welcome to Wisconsin Mr. Nick Stanley? It'd be a shame for Nick Stanley to miss out on an inaugural Wilson Warbirds groundbreaking season but a promotion is very much deserved and would be cool to see. It stings to lose Estevez, but seeing Him get an opportunity on the Nationals staff (a staff that also features old Brewer Corey Ray) is truly Sweeeeet.

That’d make the most sense, I think, given how well Pena, Dinges and Adamczewski played under him in Low-A last year.

Or maybe young(!) Kevin Martir could get a shot.

Really sad to see Estevez go but super happy that he gets an MLB coaching job. With Ayrault and Sweet in AA and AAA respectively anu further promotions would have been difficult. I'd also guess Stanley is the first one to get a call. As for Low-A, I doubt Neda gets or wants the job. Maybe Martir gets it? Or someone is Estevez's staff? This should be interesting

Placing this here in the current Minor League Coaching thread due to Matt Erickson's Timber Rattlers legacy -

A Quick Conversation with Matt Erickson - Direct Link to YouTube

First of all, it's anything but a "quick" conversation at over two hours - however, I was able to take it all in within a couple of full commutes.

For any Brewerfan diehard who has been with us in the Link Reports for the "Erickson" years as a coach/long-time manager in Appleton going back to 2009, Voice of the Rattlers Chris Mehring takes Matt through each individual year with memories. You will hear names you haven't considered at all in a decade-plus along the way. When you click "Intro" at the bottom of the play screen, you'll see the individual "Chapters" you can jump to if you wish.

It's quite the ride and as I noted, will keep your mind sharp trying to relive the plays and the players' moments. Thanks to Matt and Chris for the effort.

Nice to see @Spencer Michaelisand I have a new way of framing our 2 hours plus ML podcasts. "A quick 3 hour recap of the DSL and ACL summer." It rolls off the tongue!

Some of the speculation above was spot-on - e.g. Nick Stanley moves up a level to High-A and recent addition Eddy Morgan (12 years at Concordia University) will lead the Wilson Warbirds - but I don’t think any bingo card had Mike Guerrero returning to AA Biloxi, with Joe Ayrault becoming Field Coordinator:

Wow. That is quite the move for Eddy Morgan. I hope it works out, obviously and, as we know, the Minor League managing duties are often filled with major input and line up mandates from on high. I will just say, I am unsure if Morgan was thought of all that highly of while at Concordia and his teams were never really great performers. It seems to me this is a bump in position due to connections with people in the organization more than something due to accomplishments. Obviously, I could very much be wrong here but it certainly reads that way from afar.

That’s a nice promotion for Tyler Thornburg, from AA Associate Coach to AAA Nashville co-Pitching Coach.

Pat McGuff also gets a promotion, from ACL co-Pitching Coach to High-A Wisconsin Pitching Coach.

Jesus Hernandez was McGuff’s co-Pitching Coach in the ACL last year and he becomes a co-Pitching Coach at Low-A Wilson this year.

Jose Garcia was Hitting Coach for DSL Brewers Blue and a Development Coach for the ACL Brewers, but now moves up to Low-A Wilson Hitting Coach.

Jairo Cuevas (new ACL Brewers’ Pitching Coach) might be the recent Mariners’ AAA Pitching Coach. If so, it would likely signify broader organizational responsibilities. Or maybe he’s an entirely different person. We’ll see.

Conor Baxter (2nd year in organization; from Great Britain) gets a nice shot as DSL Brewers Blue Hitting Coach.
