I think we need Sheehan in a Williams deal.   Too many other clubs would be interested to settle for quantity over getting the top guy we can get (likely Sheehan).

I proposed Adames and Williams for Sheehan and Wroblewski and feel that would be acceptable to both sides.  If it’s Sheehan for Williams without Adames, we may need to throw in a Logan Henderson or Bryce Wilson or both .

if we trade Adames alone to dodgers, I’d want River and Wroblewski or something to that level.  Thoughts?

I love Sheehan and think he’s a future TOR starter so I’d definitely trade Williams and Adames to acquire him, whether it your proposal or mine with international bonus money instead of Wroblewski returned.

I was about to write an identical post & saw yours …

I would be thrilled if somehow Milwaukee could land Emmet Sheehan in a deal for Adames &/or Williams.

I would make that trade all day every day.

A young, controllable, quality SP like Sheehan would be exactly what the Brewers need to compete this year & beyond.

We could slowly transition DL Hall from reliever back to starter to offset the loss of Williams & immediately use Ortiz as our starting SS.

I hope this trade happens today!

Also came here to say bye bye to Adames if Brewers can snag Sheehan from Dodgers. He’s odd man out in rotation so they are dealing from strength that won’t impact them much. They have bunch of arms in AAA who are on door step.

Stone option 2 but he doesn’t have the ceiling Sheehan does.

I have my doubts that the Dodgers will deal Sheehan given Buehler not being ready for opening day, Frasso likely to miss the whole year and the fact they signed or traded for a who's-who of frequently injured pitchers. (Of course all this goes out the window if they sign another high-priced free agent.) I think if you are getting a pitcher from the Dodgers, it is more likely to be Ryan or Ferris.
