yeah, it seems to be a pattern with some (new) posters. kind of like when there is a thread about the Ginter trade and someone makes a new thread for their own ginter thought etc.

Well, this sort of had to be expected.... The user base here is growing pretty heavily over the past month or so. I have faith though, given the type of community this is, that it'll all work itself out.

Many people only are looking at the five or so threads that exist on brewerfan.net and don't dig into the actual message board. That is why if they don't see something on there (i.e. Ginter) they may post a new thread. That should be expected.

The issues forum is probably the last one new users bother to visit unless they actually run into a problem.

 

Maybe the FAQ can be posted more prominently. It could be a sticky on every message board or a link at the top of all forum pages.

 

It'd be nice if new users could be forced to read the FAQ at during the registration process, but with the forums being open to anyone who signs up with ezBoard, that's probably not a possibility.
