The Brewers will play the Royals on March 17th (the last day) of this new spring enticement, and the roster could have 20 players on it that we'll see on the field for the big club in 3-5 years.

  • C - Quero
  • IF - Black, Wilkin, Pratt, EBJ, Bitonti, Boeve, Adams, Guilarte, Baez, Clarke (who I guess is the backup catcher)
  • OF - Chourio, Lara, Rodriguez, O'Rae
  • P - Misiorowski, Gasser, Rodriguez, Knoth, Henderson, Blalock, Letson, Aquino, Smith, Yeager

This is the deepest system the Brewers have ever had, that I can remember. I'm not sure how many stars there will be, but there are a lot of players that will get a chance to be a starter in the big leagues.

Since the original Spring Breakout roster announcement on March 7, the team has added RHPs Ryan Middendorf, Blake Holub and RHP Brett Wichrowski, along with C Matt Wood. Also, LHP Robert Gasser was removed. This looks like our second sign that the club is more excited about 21-year old Wichrowski than originally expected.

It’s on mlb network so we all get to see the future today.

It's also on MLB.com for those who don't have MLB network

Misio looks good so far. The usual command struggles, but has done good. I hope we see Wichrowski, Letson and Knoth.

First time I've seen Clarke behind the plate. To me he looks fine but his actions seem stiff. There was a wild pitch he should have blocked.

I really dont like Areinamo's swing. Way too much movement. Very Wiemer-y.

Who are the announcers? It seems they are guessing at the pronunciation of players names.

Fun game - great idea.

Hated to see Quero get hit on the hand.

The camera work is terrible.

Misio pitched really well other than the walks toward the end.  His delivery doesn't look like it has all that much effort to it compared to Hader.  I think Misio can stay as a starter where Hader failed and I think it will be because it is not an all out effort like Hader.  Brown looks really slick at SS going up the middle.  If Turang doesn't work out Brown looks to be just as good defensively.

That is all that I noticed in today's game so far.

Logan Henderson removed from the game after an awkward pitch. Really hope it's nothing serious.

“Left oblique tenderness”. The announcers sounded relieved, since it’s not an arm injury.

Lost 4-3 on a walk-off wild pitch (swinging strike) that could have just as easily been called a passed ball on Wood.

Yeager had come in to pitch after Knoth got up to 19 pitches in the frame.

Cool to see our future stars playing together. Let’s do it again next year.

That was fun … except we didn’t hit, pitch or field the ball very well

It is an exhibition game that was only 7 innings long.  Not really concerned about any of that.

That can be significant time off, though.

But is not as serious as a shoulder or arm injury.  In the grand scheme of things this is a positive outcome if you are a pitcher and you get injured the best outcome is a non throwing shoulder or arm/elbow/wrist/hand injury.

Was watching and it looked like he was feeling some discomfort after his first pitch. Kind of awkwardly stretching on the mound after getting the ball back from the catcher. I can't remember exactly how many pitches he threw, but I was a little surprised no one ran out to the mound after that first sign of it.
