Low-A Carolina and Columbia pick up where they left yesterday’s game: Top of 3rd inning, 2-on, 2-out, 1-0 count, Columbia leading 1-0.

RHP Yorman Galindez exits, hoping RHP Morris Austin can strand those 2 runners. 1B Tayden Hall has also exited, which may lead to speculation on his status (injury? promotion?).

After one leadoff man (OF CD Rodriguez) exited early yesterday, another returns from injury today: Eric Brown Jr. AA Biloxi needs a win in Tennessee today to split the series 3-3 and has just the man to lead them: RHP Jacob Misiorowski (3.44 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 13.7 K/9 in 18.1 IP).

High-A Wisconsin also needs a Sunday victory to salvage a 3-3 series, in their case at home against a tough foe in Great Lakes. RHP Edwin Jimenez (6.00 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 6.0 K/9 in 21 IP) gets the start. 2B Dylan O’Rae leads the Midwest League with 25 runs scored in 25 games.

Well, that stinks about the Muddies! Last season a postponement versus Down East was never made up and it actually really impacted their first half playoff push. Hopefully, no such concerns exist in 2024!

LHP Robert Gasser (5.63 ERA with 10 Ks in 8 IP) makes his 2nd start of the week for AAA Nashville at home against formidable Norfolk. SS Yonny Hernandez has 3 multi-hit games in his last 4 played.

Oh! I forgot about that game, Yeah that stung us pretty badly. It's looking like we may win the first half still though, If so I am getting playoff tickets ASAP!

A lead-off double off the bat of OF Luis Lara. A throwing error allowing O'Rae to take 2B and Lara to cross home. And, a single from INF Jadher Areinamo scoring O'Rae from 2B have the T-Rats up 2-0 headed to the 2nd frame. RHP Edwin Jimenez looks to stay on track to get his season back on track had a scoreless 1 H, 2 K 1st frame.

Biloxi had bases loaded with only 1 out. GIDP by Dirden.

on to the bottom of the 4th. 0-0

in Appleton, Jimenez pitching well. 2-0 TRats.

Misiorowski now thru 5. still 0–0. He’s at 87 pitches. I expect his day is done. 8K, 4BB and only 2H. Very nice. Need the bats to come alive for the Shuckers.

Wisconsin 3-3. A pitching change to get thru 6.

And Gasser labored thru the first inning. 25 pitches,  2H, 1Bb, 1k, 1run.

Suckers bats remain way way too quiet - only 1 hit, a double by D. Miller (on base all three trip, H, 2BB). Still 0-0

Gasser gave up a HR and labored thru 2, 44 pitches with 2BB, 3H and 4K. Sounds down 2-1 looking to get something going in the bottom of 3.

Wisconsin trying to,stay tied 3-3. Costello on. Double, caught stealing, walk, stolen base, and now a hit. Down 4-3. First run Costello allowed on the young season.

Well I guess the organization is consistent today. High pitch counts, and very little offense going.

Milwaukee 0 runs, Biloxi 0 run (only 1 hit), and TRats 6 hits (2 runs and 2 hits in the first, then 1 R and 4H the next 8 innings).

‘Peralta, Misiorowski and Gasser all with high pitch counts - walks and strikeouts.

Cubs in first place. Just a bummer of a weekend.

Gasser ends his day with 4IP 3H 2ER 3BB 7K 1HR.

Thompson pitched 0.2, gave up 2 walks and a steal and was replaced by Meeker who has pitched 1.1 with 1K and allowed a double.

Seems like Thompson still isn't fully healthy because his velo is still down.

It isn't all doom and gloom for that underperforming Shuckers team. Wilken rehabbing with the ACL and now EBJ was back leading off as a DH today. That's a big return. Let's hope we start seeing some positive regressions!

Hey there's the positive in the otherwise gloomy Sunday. Brewers losses really seem to get me down, especially when it's against division rivals, and like 10x more against the dang Cubs and there manager, whatever his name is.

I hope EBJ and Wilken can get the Shuckers going. Or my typo above will be more relevant ... Biloxi  Suckers.

Some decent pitching the past 2 days, but still ineffective with pitch counts for Misio, CF Rod, Gasser. But I'll take that over alternatives any day (injury, poor outings).
