RHP Bo Bowman also another rebound success story in 2024. Really struggled hitting his stride after the call-up to Biloxi in 2023. Really has been a fantastic and consistent bullpen piece for manager Joe Ayrault in 2024 Biloxi. He pitches a scoreless 5th inning in relief with 2 K - 0 H, 0 BB. 1-1 into the Shuckers half.

Carolina putting up a big rally top of six to go ahead 6-5. And it went a little something like this…

Yophery Rodriguez double, Luis Castillo single, Blayberg Diaz double, Miguel Briceno single & steal, Reese Walling single.

I love the idea of minor league team identities. What I don't love as much are some of the uniforms. That Pescaderos uniform is lovely but man that Biloxi King Cakes uniform is not something I like to look at

Hey hey hey Carolina also heeds my calls for hits. Nice job getting back in the lead.

In Wisconsin it's Yoho time. Let's hope he continues his hot streak (please don't let me jinx him)

Yoho was great in the 8th, helped by a DP ball. And the strike out my gosh the batter  looked lost.

Nothing in the top of the 9th (Dotson picked off first after PRing for Chiniros).

Yoho to close it out?

Mogollon. No control. Bases juiced, Carolina trying to hold on for the lead. Last batter HBP in the head. Mogollon doesn't seem to know where his stuff is going. Oh my.

Mogollon finally gets an out, but a force out. 2 outs, but another run in. Now 7-6 deficit and J. Pena in. Not Mogollon's night.

Shuckers let it slip away. 2-1 lead, lost by Bowman, then Childers with each a run in 2IP. Yeager shuts em down in the 9th. Shuckers ... um sorry King Cakes ... get lead off walk. Then flyout. Strikeout by Dirden, on like 10 pitches and did a good job to stay alive. But Sparks goes down swinging too.

In Fayetteville, Mudcats will have to try to tie or win in the 9th. Bottom of 8, and need to keep it close.

Not too many highlights in the Nashville box.

Owen Miller went 3-4 raising his average to .361.

Rob Zastryzny threw another scoreless frame (1 K) lowering his ERA to 1.76 on the season (International League average is 4.90).

Mudcats trail still 7-6. On to the 9th. It's Y. Garcia, Mercado then Guilarte. If anyone gets on it is Yophery, who does like the big stage.

Bunt triple scores a run.  YEah you heard that right. Well really a bunt with 3 base error. Now tied 7-7, runner on thrid.

AZ Crew got trounced, but had a few standout performances on the afternoon…

Aneuris Rodriguez went 3.1 scoreless with 1 H | 1 BB | 7 K. Thirteen of his sixteen outs have been recorded via strikeout on the young season.

Luiyin Alastre (2-5, 2Bx2), Eric Bitonti (2-4, 2B, BB) and Filippo Di Turi (3-5, 2B) each doubled and reached multiple times out of the top three lineup spots.

Yophery called out on a borderline pitch, but he has to protect the plate with 2 strikes on you. Baez the hitter gets a hit to push the leading run in . 8-7 Pescados!! Get some more. Then turn it to Hunt.

third out to the 3rd baseman to end to game? Nope IF were shifted over, and groundball to left field for a 2B. 2 men on (2nd and 3rd), two outs. Root has to get the next man.

ACL blown out, Nashville blown out. Shuckers lose a tight one, with an OK performance by Miz (I mean unhittable, but walks and HPB and pitch counts are what will do him in).

TRats with a big win and dominant pitching. And Mudcats with a come from behind a few times, blow the lead a few times 8-7 nailbiting win. I'll take it though. 2-3 record with a close loss in Biloxi and nice pitching by a few folks in the organization.

So how'd the big league club do?  😉
