Miller's versatility does bring some value in this situation, especially with a lot of struggling outfielders. Hopefully it's a short stay for Rhys.

2 to 4 weeks isn't so bad. It probably gives just enough time/leash for the other guys (Dunn/Bauers) to prove their worth, or risk being removed from the 26 man upon Hoskins' return.

Hopefully this is really 2-4 weeks and not a Yeli/Junis situation and they are out 3 times longer than hoped for.

Bauers does not seem to be at risk of losing a roster spot before the all star break. 1.109 OPS in May. And .908 OPS over past 30 days.

According to Baseball Reference, Oliver Dunn, Jake Bauers and Rhys Hoskins all have 0.4 wins above replacement level this season.
