The Apple TV broadcast might be the best in all of sports. It puts every other broadcast (ESPECIALLY Ballys) to shame.

I'd absolutely kill to have more games on Apple.

I think they would lose a lot of fans if they go to apple.  I know I would be one of them and I have no interest in the euphoric experience, video game type broadcasts at all.

I still remember back in the mid-2000s when only like 140 games were actually on TV.  Me and my buddies hated that!  We have apple, but it is kind of annoying how there are so many streaming services taking games for the major sports.  Needed Peacock for some Badger games, apple for Brewers, Netflix for NFL, etc.

Didn't the Suns owner just come out and decide that he was going to have every game available to be watching in the area?  I feel like I remember seeing that.

Several NHL teams have switched to free broadcasts in the last year or two. Vegas and now Utah come to mind. Seattle also recently announced they are dropping out of the Mariners' RSN and will be free over the air locally and free regionally on Prime (no added cost).

Of course any national broadcasts will still require subscribing to other services.

The common denominator for now seems to be relatively new franchises (or relocated teams) who need to build a fanbase, as well as a sport like the NHL where local broadcast revenue is quite small. That is why I'm hopeful the Brewers will be one of the first in MLB to make their broadcasts free, since the Bally contract isn't exactly lucrative and it would be to their advantage to get more eyeballs on their broadcasts.

I don't need or care for the barrage of stats they throw at you, but it doesn't take away anything from the broadcast either.

What I'm talking about is simply the video quality and the number of cameras. Their presentation makes Ballys look like blurry standard def. Apple puts everyone to shame.

If it ain't free it ain't me. Because I already pay $250. bucks a month. Al Crapola
