  1. This whips ass. Good stuff.
  2. Anyone else getting a little concerned that this hasn't been made official yet? Between the Emerson contract and the Boras factor, I was hoping we'd have official word of the deal by now.
  3. Lara turning into Jett Williams at the plate would certainly be something.
  4. It's never made any sense at all to extend Turang. I don't know why it's even been discussed.
  5. Amazing for so many reasons.
  6. In four years when he's 30 years old.
  7. Brice is so far away from free agency the only things he needs to worry about are being healthy and productive.
  8. Just a reminder that you can watch every minor league game for free on Bally Sports.
  9. There's nothing Bauers does that Black couldn't. They're both 1B or LF. Except Bauers is 30 with five years of service time, and Black is 25 with no years of service time. Time to see what the younger guy can do.
  10. Very strong possibility that package looks incredibly good two years from now.
  11. I would have been extremely pissed.
  12. Could not have really asked for a better return. My guess is Jett ends up a Perkins replacement.
  13. Williams was #18 on Law's early September prospect list. #1 in the Mets system.
  14. I don't know why you keep dismissing literally his latest season in MILB, dude.
  15. Last season, as a 21 year old, his OPS across AA-AAA was .828. Durbin was posting a .642 OPS across 62 PAs in rookie ball at the same age.
  16. Normally I'd agree. But that's kind of my point. If Peralta really is this crazy high asset right now with seemingly every team in need of his services, then the return should be appropriately huge.
  17. Robert Murray was just on a live Youtube and he thinks Freddy is going to be traded and that the bidding war will be huge. Just my opinion, but I don't think many of the packages discussed around here and elsewhere would really strike me as something overwhelming that the Brewers have no choice but to accept. To me, if teams like the Mets, Yankees, Braves, and Dodgers (and small market teams that get involved because of the $8 million deal) are all giving their theoretical best offers, we should be talking about #1 org prospects. Lombard or Kilby for the Yankees, McLean or Benge for the Mets, Caminiti AND Ritchie for the Braves, some combination of Sirota, De Paula, and Quintero from the Dodgers. I dunno. I just think if there really is a huge market for Freddy with everyone involved, the Brewers should get back an absolutely enormous haul.
  18. I think that'd be a pretty great package for Freddy, tbh. Jett can play anywhere in the middle of the field and Sproat's at least a #3 or #4 with the upside to be a top of the rotation starter despite his age. I think the Brewers could tweak a couple things and turn him into something resembling Burnes. 12 seasons of those two for one season of Freddy would probably end up being a massive haul for the Brewers.
  19. The Brewers don't need infielders. They have a wave of them coming, maybe as soon as this summer, but no later than next season. Now, if the guy coming back is a no-doubt high upside potential star? Sure, the Brewers could find him a spot. But Fischer is on the way. Made is on the Chourio fast-track. Adams will get a shot, and so will Wilkin. Pratt's glove and arm make him a good bet to man shortstop as soon as next season. Pena looks like a future star and even he might have to find a home in the outfield.
