The DSL Crew Uno were leading 3-0 in the bottom of the 4th and

Pena appears to have smacked his 4th triple of his DSL season. He plated 2 RBI in the process. 17-year-old Dominican RHP Ayendy Bravo was dealing - 4 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 4 K.

DSL Brewers-1 had jumped out to a 3-0 lead against DSL Orioles Orange, but the weather suspended play in the 4th inning.

The two squads are battling for first place in the 8-team DSL Northwest division, so July 25th will likely now be a big date on their calendars (i.e. scheduled game plus presumed completion of today's suspended game).

Stats-wise, SS Jesus Made (single, SB), 3B Luis Pena (triple, 2 RBIs), DH Juan Ortuno (single, RBI) and RHP Ayendy Bravo (4 scoreless innings, 4 Ks) should all benefit from this game ultimately being completed.

Yeah, DSL Brewers Dos and DSL Pirates Gold already have a doubleheader scheduled for August 8, so they'll probably add this "continuation game" to the game scheduled for August 16.

Our young Dos men have a lot of ground to make up on Pirates Gold, so they'll be hoping to get the chance to play (and WIN) all 4 of these games.

I have a cobweb residue comment from last week:

I didn't say it during my reporting or in the thread but I had the T-Rats on an isolated screen and LHP Brian Fitzpatrick was absolutely dealing. Best he's looked as a Brewers. He's trim and in incredible shape in 2024. Glad to see he was recognized by Brewers PD.

The Low-A Mudcats play a 6-game set at Nationals’ affiliate Fredericksburg this week, 18-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez has covered 31 IP with a 2.61 ERA over his last 5 outings. C David Garcia has an 11-game on-base streak.

High-A Wisconsin hosts Tigers’ affiliate West Michigan. 22-year old RHP Alexander Cornielle starts the opening game, having thrown 6 scoreless innings in his last start. DH Jesus Chirinos has reached base in 19 straight games (excluding 1-PA games).

The AA Shuckers are 19-9 over their last 28 games and play at abominable Reds’ affiliate Chattanooga (23-58) this week. 23-year old RHP Bradley Blalock pitched 7 scoreless, 1-hit innings in his last outing.  LF Adam Hall has an 8-game hitting streak.

Hopefully Carolina fares better against the Paul Skenes wannabe today than they did in June when he tossed 5 scoreless against us.

Fredericksburg is 12-3 in the second half. Quite the run they are on. Mudcats are 7-7.

Pratt is hitting 0.458 against these Fred Nats? Mostly singles. He pops out to 1B foul territory after Di Turi and Yophery grounded out. 3 up. 3 down.

Daniel Guilarte punched out 10 times in a 2-for-18 week at Down East. He begins his series @ Fredericksburg with a swinging K on a splitter low and outside the zone. Sigh.

The AAA Sounds host the mediocre Iowa Cubs this week and have LHP DL Hall making his 8th rehab start for them (1.98 ERA - great, 1.83 WHIP - bad, 10 Ks in 13.2 IP). 2B Isaac Collins comes in with an 8-game hitting streak.

I love Chattanooga mang. I used to farm in North Georgia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. I went into Chattahoochee on weekends quite regularly. Beautiful city in a valley.
