Black back at 1B tonight (Campbell in LF) and Collins at 3B for his second consecutive game (very interesting).

Cornielle has men on 1st and 2nd with nobody down now. Weakly hit grounder up the middle the runner beat out and now his 2nd walk.

@Joseph Zarr I think you mean Corniel?

Hopefully Daniel fares better tonight than Alexander did in his most recent outing.

Man, I am mixing Corniel/Cornielle's and Smiths of late! Thankfully Tristan and Tristen have fled to other sytstems!

Man, Yophery is just so heady in CF. Makes the sliding catch on a gapper. Then quick pops it to Yoshwar to get it into the infield so nobody can advance. He is just so good out there. Unreal savvy.

Corneil balk - his first of the year. He advances the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Yophery's play even more important. Now Garcia will come to the mound - he looks disheveled.

Hey guess what: Corniel is struggling in a third inning again. Man, this frame. I swear he loses his release point here at an uncanny rate. 3-0 count. Runners on 2nd and 3rd. He did fire a strike. 3-1 count. He gets another strike outside corner (likely missed). 3-2 count. He gets his 3rd K and strands them. Bookend K's. Woot woot. Big avoidance there.

Juan Baez is back in true form. Just made an out on the bases. Glad to see him healthy and back to full strength haha.

I swear. Baez is the epitome of Highs and Lows. Unreal inning-to-inning AB-to-AB ability to defy the Laws of Sound Baseball and yet make his mark on nearly every game. And, seriously, what the heck is he thinking on that pick-off at 3B?! He has absolutely zero reason to round 3B that far. Just unreal irresponsibility on the basepaths on a routine basis.

Hicklen single. A SB. An Arroyo BB. AND a Clarke line drive single to CF have the bases dripping and nobody down for the Sounds and Navarreto here in the top of the 2nd. 0-1 count.

Corniel has 5 K through 4 IP. He has seen several counts run full but he has found a way to escape any damage. Really good resilient outing. 3-0 headed to the bottom of the 4th. He's had some 20 pitch innings so his pitch count is mid 60's.

Adamczewski with another RBI poke. My goodness. A 1-2 count. No matter. He gets the RBI poke line drive into RF.

Adamczewski seems to very much enjoy hitting pitches down and even below the zone.

Indeed. He can absolutely golf the low ball. His first knock in his first game was a ridiculously good swing on a low ball inside.

Man, I tell you, Chris Edwards is a treasure. He reads my emails and shares with the fans. It's epic. OK. I'm partial. He shares my opinions. 😅

Muddies in control. Corniel goes 4 innings, and Durow with a clean 5th. Only 2 hits allowed, 3walk to 5 K between the two of them. Cats up5-0 on to the bottom of 5.

Watching Biloxi and Wichrowski with a very nice 2nd inning. A ground out, then a strike out looking (nice pitch on the outer half of the place) on a full count, then gets the next batter. Fastball up to 94 MPH and then a sweeper to make him look foolish swinging K.

A lead-off Navarreto walk followed by a Chris Roller line drive double to the deep LF corner has two Sounds on board (2nd and 3rd) yet again with nobody out. Can they finally knock a run across? It's 0-0 as RHP Chad Patrick continues doing what he does. Zamora is quickly down 0-2.

Isaac Collins with a professional AB. Naturally. He hits a deep sky high Sac Fly to RF. Roller advances to 3B. Navarreto scores. 1-0 Sounds.

Well that's the first time I've ever seen that. A batter with a pitch clock violation in a 3-2 count. BUT, the home plate ump doesn't know what to do. LOL. He consults the infield ump and he is now officially out. One down. Man on 1B (lead off single to LF).

Zamora took 2B and then Campbell grounded out to 1B. Roller scores. 2-0 Sounds baby.

In Biloxi, in a 0-0 game, Wichrowski beaned the lead-off batter. He advances to 2B on a force out to 2B.  One down man on 2B.

Wichrowski works around the HB. He gets the force out. A fly out. A WP advances the runner to 3B. He then K's the next batter on an inside slider.
