these are two mediocre teams

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Great screen play by USC there. Would've been nice to have blockers like that on our third down play instead of asking the receiver to gain seven yards on his own.

I wish we dialed up a call like that on 4th and 1.

With Locke at QB?  He would have lost 10 yards on that.

would not surprise me if UW doesn't get the ball back

I really hate side arm QB’s.  So many batted balls if you don’t have the arm strength to get over the defense and to the receiver quickly enough.  Locke is like waiting for a balloon getting to the receiver when he has to loft the ball.  Just not enough arm strength.

Such a white flag move to punt near midfield down double digits with 7 minutes left.

yep. "Let's lose by less!"

Turns out they were right.

Not really as it was mostly the muffed punt return that killed the Badgers.  Without the game is probably a little bit closer.

Locke a few good passes in the first half absolutely horrible in the 2nd half.

He’s thrown the deep ball pretty well, but his accuracy on short to mid throws is awful.

So many dumb penalties.  Go from 3rd and manageable to 3rd and long.  Just poor execution on this drive where they were setup to score easily.

Without the three turnovers by USC in the second half it's not close.

On a few passes yes but majority have not been.
