seen an article projecting yelich to get traded to yankees would be great to get his contract of the books

Yelich has a full NTC and from everything he's said, I doubt seriously if he would waive it to go to the Yankees unless they kicked in extra money.

No it wouldn’t be good to trade him…….and there is no indication that it will happen…..article proposing it is basically clickbait

His contract is fine and he is the leader of the team that is really needed now that Adames is gone.

Agree with the not waiving NTC to anywhere but Cali. I think the Giants could be an interesting trade partner if the front office could work something out. We could do Yeli for Robbie Ray, Lamonte Wade, and a couple of interesting prospects and I could see everyone being happy. We get out of the scary later end of that contract and get two short term vets to help and a couple long term prospect peices. The Giants are desperate for some go bats and Yeli could fit in really nicely there and financially it doesn't affect the ledger for a couple years with Ray included.

I do seriously doubt anything would realistically work, everyone is going to be to worried about his back and we will want something of quality value maybe next offseason if he can stay healthy for the majority of the year.

I think the only way they trade Yelich is if he asks them to do it……..he is the best hitter on a young and talented team that will be contenders for the foreseeable future.

People always seem to want to trade players who commit long term to the Brewers and then get upset when we lose players who won’t commit here.

Appreciate him……like Yount and Braun.

Ray is 33 and has pitched exactly 34 innings total in the last two years. He is coming off TJ surgery in 2023 and is owed $50M (25 in each of next two years).  In the last two years Wade has hit a total of 25 HRS and driven in a total of 79 runs. He certainly isn't a middle of the order hitter to replace a Yelich. The Brewers lose money the first two years and the offense gets worse. I would rather keep Yelich and trust he's healthy enough to help all year.

Zero Reason to trade Yelich for a Poo Poo platter of stuff...His contract isn't bad. 4/88 left ( $30 mil in Def )

No doubt it would be a salary dump.  Also not sold the 22 million will result in a significant acquisition in the infield or SP to upgrade the team.
