Hedbert Pérez Named Midwest League Player of the Week
Wisconsin outfielder goes 10-for-22 last week at South Bend

GRAND CHUTE, WI – Wisconsin Timber Rattlers outfielder Hedbert Pérez was rewarded after a terrific series in South Bend last week with the Midwest League Player of the Week award.  Minor League Baseball recognized Pérez with the honor yesterday.

Pérez went 10-for-22 (.455) with a double and two homers for an OPS of 1.251 in the series.  He also stole two bases in the series to help the Rattlers win four of the six games at Four Winds Field.  Pérez is currently on an eight-game hitting streak.

Puttering around in the north woods, my son noticed this Rattlers sign on the outside of an antiques store in tiny Trego, Really wonder what the story behind it is.

Interesting.  That seems to be worth a trip inside to find out...

So, the owner told me he got the sign from a guy who was relocating to Florida. The sign came from a Rattler's renovation project from years ago. The current owner supposed the guy he got it from was a contractor working on that renovation at the time and salvaged it. He told me it lights up too.

That is awesome, too bad it is being left out in the weather.  Is he selling it, or just displaying it?

It’s an antiques shop, so I assume it’s for sale. He did ask me if I was interested.

“I feel like in the past years I wasn’t super, super focused on the training room and taking care of my body,” Garcia said through interpreter Hedbert Perez.

Excuse me, but this is Year Seven in the system for Eduardo (we'll call it six due to 2020). Maybe we could have seen that dedication earlier? I'm sure the strength and training departments tried to emphasize.

Garcia turns 23 years old in six days and is scheduled to be a minor league free agent this October.
