Last year's high school class of pitchers has been pretty dang phenomenal. All of Dubanewicz, Dorchies, and Tobias impress in their own ways. Dorchies likely has the most impressive current set of tools. And, of course, this doesn't even get into the much awaited (hopeful) debut of LHP Joey Broughton. And, RHP Tyler Renz is acquitting himself really well in the ACL this season too. Just a really fun class of high school pitchers. Their overall ability to challenge and throw strikes is truly something.

In Low A there are only a total of 36 pitchers who are teenagers (per FanGraph, and at least 10 IP).

The Brewers have 4 of them (Hernandez; and then the trio of Meccage, Dubanewicz and Dorcghies), and all are in the upper half in most metrics, and all top 13 in WHIP. Most teams have 0-2 teenagers in low A, and the only other organization who has more is Atlanta. But we will tie them once Tobias reaches 10 IP which should happen soon.

So yes this is a very good and successful group of HS draftees to be in low A a year later and have almost all not only reach A but do well. And Renz and Broughton have a chance to join them as well.

I do wonder if we will look at the '23 vs '24 drafts and have a debate as to which one will be more impactful in the long run.

(Side note: Justin Chambers '23 draftee who was traded to LAD for B. Hudson, is now in low A as a teenager as well)
