Oh, and it looks like NDFA Malachai Halterman is in fact doing some catching down there as well. I'll reference what a couple sources told me after he signed, specifically the part about his potential ability to catch:

In the field: Will most likely be an undersized but very athletic 3rd baseman. He’s upper 80’s to low 90’s on the bump so he’s got the arm. He could also work in at second or center. He also caught some but would need a lot of work receiving. He uses his athleticism well in blocking and on throw downs. (Spencer Note: I had another source tell me that they believe he could catch, but they wonder if the frame would allow it)

Well, that's fun! Here's hoping. We always have hope unless we do not use it.

Looks like Jeferson Quero is down in Arizona playing in rehab games in the Bridge League already, so that's good to see.

I know Dinges has been playing down there but I wonder for how long?  Looking forward to seeing him back in the T-Rats lineup soon.

Just-promoted RHP Jaron DeBerry (4.83 ERA in High-A/Low-A) makes his AA Biloxi debut and 3B Eduardo Garcia (.776 OPS in High-A) returns to action (and up an affiliate level) after exiting Saturday’s game early. The Shuckers trail their series at Knoxville 1 game to 0.

C Eric Haase (.647 OPS in MLB) makes his first appearance since accepting an assignment to AAA Nashville. RHP Chad Patrick (3.40 ERA in 116.1 MLB/AAA IP) seeks to lead the squad to a 1-1 home series tie against Jacksonville. LF Daz Cameron has a 17-game on-base streak.

Lara K's on an uncompetitive swing on a slider low and in. Pitch ultimately landed at Lara's back foot. Not a competitive AB. K's on three pitches.

Boeve stays hot. Lines a single into LF.

Pratt follows suit with a 1-2 oppo line drive single into RF. Two men aboard, first and second, with Burke coming to the idsh. Burke gets a round of applause from the Knoxville faithful.

Big Burke line drive to the left CF gap reaches the wall. That's a two-rbi dub. Yeah, Blake! Nice easy swing. Sharp line drive to that gap.

Miller walked. Spain rips an absolute rocket directly in the vicinity of the second baseman. Smoked that ball. Good AB. End result? Third out. Baseball. DeBerry will pitch in a few minutes.

DeBerry has fallen behind his first two batters 2-0. His second batter casually hits a line drive single on a four-seamer thrown dead center. Not an impressive beginning. Let's hope he settles in.

DeBerry allows one run on a force out ground out and then gets the inning ending pop out to Spain in RF. Not a pretty frame but he avoided further damage.

High-A Wisconsin aims for a 2-0 series lead at Peoria behind 19-year old (20 on Friday) RHP Manuel Rodriguez (1.73 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, 8.0 K/9 in 52 IP). CF Yhoswar Garcia has a .552 OPS, but is 3rd in the Midwest League with 48 SBs.

Boeve K's in his second AB on a dead center curve that broke low in the zone. Over the top and foul tipped. The Shuckers strand a man on 2B in Restituyo (single liner into RF).

DeBerry got ahead both batters in his second frame 1-2. They took him full - not very competitive pitches. He K's the first swinging. He k'd the second looking at a slider. His first two punchouts in Double-A.
