See, the thing is, @Joseph Zarr, that one has to pick spots for the over-the-top thread titles. First, not easy to come up with early in the AM, and one risks straining the relevancy of the day for the sake of a forced poor pun. Will try to factor daily in 2026 (unobtainable goal).

I commend you for your public transparency. Your process laid out before us here is akin to Babe Ruth sharing how he hit all those homers. Also, as a dad of two, on behalf of bad dad jokes everywhere, I have to ask: is there really such a thing as a forced poor pun? (this is a rhetorical question...no need to reply...of course we all know there is no such thing as a 'forced poor pun' 🤭)

The AAA Sounds can clinch a 4-1 home series win over Gwinnett behind RHP Carlos Rodriguez (3.89 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 in 74 IP) tonight. SS Freddy Zamora has a 10-game on-base streak.

What a terrific 2nd Minor League season it’s been for 23-year old RHP Tyson Hardin (2.72 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 in 92.2 High-A/AA IP), who aims to help AA Biloxi to a 3-2 series lead at Birmingham. SS Jesus Made has a 10-game on-base streak.

That’s a rather efficient win for Nashville, needing just 2 hours and 7 minutes to send 8.844 fans home happy.

Carlos Rodriguez, Robert Gasser and Jesus Liranzo dominated, allowing just 4 singles and 1 walk in the 3-1 victory.

Seigler, Urias and Lockridge each had 2 hits, as they try to earn a spot on the MLB playoff roster.

Jesus Made threw out a baserunner at home in the 3rd inning, then singled and scored in a 2-run 4th.

But the main story before Burke’s 3-run 8th inning homer blew open the game was Stiven Cruz and Abdiel Mendoza retiring 13 consecutive batters after Cruz had entered with a runner on 3rd base, leading 2-1 with 1 out in the 4th inning. That’s a terrific return to AA ball for Cruz.

Biloxi won 5-1 and plays its final regular season game on Sunday, looking for a 4-2 series win before the Southern League playoffs commence on Tuesday in Montgomery.

Luis Urias is raking.  Just saying.

He is but so is Monasterio at the big league level. A depth piece in case of injury. Think he is ahead of Seigler in case of emergency.

Glad you mentioned Cruz's work. So happy for him to return after a solid if unspectacular re-assignment at Wisconsin. He kept his head down after the early season struggles that led to his re-assignment. It's very easy for fans to forget he was actually very good at Biloxi through his first nine outings - if you remember at that point of his season he was essentially sitting 94-95 mph in his brief relief stints. I don't know what happened for him to tailspin in the manner he did after that, but at this point it's a moot point. Glad he's back at Biloxi and glad his first outing was roses.
